Dr. Tonya Osmond, lPC, lcpc
Tonya Osmond has over twenty-five years of experience counseling clients in the areas of career, academic, and personal development. In addition to consulting with Quantum, she is an adjunct faculty member at the College of Nursing at Bon Secours and provides clinical counseling for Thriveworks. Previously, Tonya provided career and academic consultations for students and alumni at Bon Secours, University of Richmond, Howard Community College, the Johns Hopkins University, and the University of Maryland. Prior to her career in higher education, she provided career transition services to military and civilian personnel at Fort Meade.
Tonya holds a LPC in Virginia and a LCPC in Maryland. Her specialty is in assisting adults navigate career transitions, which includes the administration of assessment instruments such as the MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator), Campbell Interest and Skill Survey (CISS), and SII (Strong Interest Inventory). Tonya has served on Boards with MACCA (Middle Atlantic Career Counseling Association), MCDA (Maryland Career Development Association), and the VCDA (Virginia Career Development Association). She has also served on the Chesterfield Cabinet and was Chair for the Chesterfield Workforce Development Committee. Tonya received her Master’s degree in Student Personnel Services / Counseling at Virginia Tech and completed her Doctorate of Higher Education at Morgan State University. An avid runner, Tonya has completed over 25 marathons and half marathons.
