Robert (bob) Osmond
Robert (Bob) Osmond is a Division Administrator with the Virginia Department of Transportation. Prior to his service with the Commonwealth of Virginia, Bob was a Partner in IBM’s Global Business Services organization where he led organizations responsible for application development, organizational change management, and human capital management. Prior to IBM, Bob worked for RWD Technologies (later acquired by General Physics) as their Director of eLearning and the State of VA at the Virginia Quality and Productivity Center (Virginia Tech). During Bob's extensive career, he has served many large commercial enterprises (Apple, Georgia Pacific, Hitachi, Koch Industries, BMW, and Citibank), US federal agencies (DOD, DHS, DOJ, DHHS), and state governments (Pennsylvania, California, and Florida). Bob attended Virginia Tech, where he obtained his Bachelors and Masters Degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering. Bob has served as a lecturer for the George Washington School of Business and is a past president for the American Society of Talent and Development, Maryland Chapter. He enjoys running, hiking, biking, climbing, kayaking, and camping.
